Incomplete Criminal Check Leads to Theft From Till

BackCheck received a call from a client who had discovered that a new hire had been caught stealing from the till, and had been doing so since he was hired. The hire had not completed the vetting process as he had not provided the information required for his criminal record check.

The client had hired the candidate in good faith, as the information for the criminal record check had not been provided and the check could not be processed. After the hire was caught stealing, the client discovered that he had a lengthy criminal record.
